Why Our Jewelry Stands Out

While many jewelry brands prioritize aesthetics, we go a step further by focusing on longevity and durability. Even though many brands claim their pieces are gold plated, here’s what makes our jewelry different: the thickness of our gold layer, the quality of our materials, and the advanced techniques we use to ensure lasting beauty.

1. Thickness of the Gold Plating

Gold Layer Thickness: The thickness of the gold layer is crucial. Generally, the thicker the plating, the longer it will last. Better quality pieces will have a thicker layer of gold (measured in microns).

Industry Standard:
•  Flash plating: Very thin and prone to wear off quickly.
•  1-2 microns: Common for fashion jewelry, but may wear off over time.
•  3+ microns: Higher-quality plating, which is more durable and long-lasting.

Our Jewelry:
feature a 3+ micron thick layer of 18k gold, significantly thicker than the average level in the industry

2. Base Metal Used

Gold plating is typically applied over a base metal like brass, copper, or sterling silver. Jewelry plated over sterling silver or stainless steel tends to be better because these metals are hypoallergenic and less likely to tarnish or corrode. Cheaper base metals like brass or copper may cause skin reactions or discoloration over time.

Our Jewelry:
We use high-grade stainless steel as the foundation. This material is known for its strength, corrosion resistance, and hypoallergenic properties. It gives each piece the durability, while still being lightweight and comfortable.

3. Plating Technique

Electroplating vs. PVD Coating:
• Electroplating is the most common technique where a thin layer of gold is deposited using an electric current.
• PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition): A more advanced method that produces more durable and scratch-resistant layer of gold.

Our Jewelry:
Our jewelry uses advanced PVD technology, creating a stronger bond between the gold and stainless steel. Making our pieces preserves their finish longer than traditional electroplating.
